WVIA will answer questions about the project during the meeting and ask volunteer videographers and/or storytellers to narrow the list of subjects and events to videotape. WVIA hopes to recruit 20 to 25 area residents with personal camcorders.

Resident videographers will then set off to videotape their pre-determined stories.  They will have until Saturday, April 20, 2013 when their memory cards or videotapes filled with stories of Dunmore are due to WVIA. The footage will then be used to make the “Our Town Dunmore” documentary.

Pittston, PA – Milton in Northumberland County will be the next town featured in WVIA’s “Our Town” documentary series. It all begins on Thursday, Jan 17 at the Milton Borough Building located at 2 Filbert Street in Milton, as WVIA holds a volunteer planning meeting at 6 p.m. All residents of Milton are encouraged to attend.
